For fans of all ages, the Gillette Rugby League Heritage Centre is a must-see. Begin by wandering through the hotel lobby and viewing the rare memorabilia taking pride of place in a tall glass cabinet.

Then view the hundreds of framed pictures on display in the public areas and Founders Bar before descending downstairs, past yet more old pictures and newspaper cuttings from yesteryear, to the main display area.

The room is packed with memorabilia – everywhere you look there’s something to fascinate the visitor, provoke past memories and educate young and old. Follow the game’s development as its story unfolds around the room. View the plasma screens that bring history to life.

You will be enthralled – but one look won’t be enough! Such is the amount of memorabilia, the displays will constantly evolve, meaning there will be something different every time you visit. And over the coming months, more rooms within the George Hotel will be re-fitted to house this ever-expanding collection.
